You will probably start soon. I started about a week after my levels dropped to zero. Good luck to you and thanks for the update.
Yep, they tested again a week later and levels fell to 17.. but nothing else happened. Then tested again a week later and levels are all 0!!! So, they said it must have been levels from my m/c. I asked them when I should start a new cycle and they don't know. If I don't start in a week (which will be 12w after D&C) they will give me something to hopefully start a cycle.
I am so thankful it wasn't something more serious like a tubal pregnancy. I was panicing at the thought. So, we'll see what happens in the next few weeks.
Bad news, my blood work came back the other day and doc says he can't tell if my levels (hcg 144 progst 0.7) is from my m/c or from a new early preg. So, I am to repeat my blood work in a week on (Tues). The really bad news is that if I am newly pregn again, even with progst supplm, they said I will most likely miscarry again in a week or two. So I am left to wait. I am still cramping really bad here and there but nothing. I hate this waiting game.
I read online that low levels, with bad cramping can mean a tubal pregnancy. Now I'm getting scared. I won't know anything till next week. I'd rather not be pregnant at all than to go thru another m/c or worse, a tubal pregn.
I'll keep you posted.
Thank you!!!!
Sorry for the late response delbert81. I haven't been logged on for a couple of days.
It's tough to say whether or not you're pregnant or just left over hormones from the miscarriage. I would definately get a blood test done. The bad part is they probably won't be able to tell from the first blood draw. They should make you go back for another blood draw 48 hours after your first one to compare the numbers. If they are doubling like they should then you're pregnant. If they are falling, then you're either pregnant and most likely miscarrying again or it's still left over hormones from your previous miscarriage.
Keep me posted on your results. Baby dust to you.
I wrote this for a friend, she is not pregnant. Af came.
I had a "missed" miscarriage around 4/8 but didn't find out till an ultrasound on 5/4 where the baby didn't have a heartbeat. Had a d&c on 5/5. I still haven't had a period and its 8 weeks after the d&c. I started cramping like I was getting ready to start, but didn't. We've been waiting patiently for my period so we can really start trying.
I took a first response test last night just for the heck of it and it was postive.. very dark lines. Do you think its just the hcg levels from the miscarriage making it a positive? I called my doc and I'm getting a blood test today after work. I really hope we're pregnant, but scared its a false positive, or worse, miscarry again.
Thank you,
Lori
I took one with lines. It looked faint. I broke it apart and it defiantly was a line.. took a pregnant or not pregnant later that day and it said not pregnant. I'm going to try first Mormon urine in the am.
I would think if you had a normal cycle, your hcg would have been back down to zero. You wouldn't ovulate if you had leftover hcg in your system because your body would think you're still pg.
So if you get a positive pregnancy test you're probably pg again. Maybe wait a couple days and try testing again.
I also had a miscarriage in April. I carred for 15w2d, however the baby only measured 11w2d. It took 7 weeks for my levels to "zero" out. I then started my period a week later (so 8 weeks post D&C) on May 28th. I just found out last week that I'm pregnant again. I would say that if you were pregnant you would be getting a + by now (especially since you started your period before me and I was able to get a + a week ago). And if the tests are coming up negative, then your levels are down because if they weren't then the tests would be coming up +. Your cycle is probably just off because of the miscarriage.
I recommend testing with First Response. They always give me a + way sooner than any other brand. When I was testing while my levels were going back down, First Response was picking up an HcG level of an 11 so they are very sensitive tests.
Best of luck to you.
