How long to wait

After tring for almost 9 years, uterine cancer treatment, injectable fertility meds, and 10 weeks of pregnancy we lost our baby Thursday. I had a d&c Friday and am tring to get my emotions under controll. I was just wondering how long should we wait before tring to have another baby? Some people said 2 cycles some said 1. I don't realy want to wait longer than I have to.

One cycle to give ur body that extra time to settle & also to give u & ur docs a definite cd1 to monitor your pregnancy when u do get pregnancy again.

Just wait for one cycle and try again!!

I M/C on November 5th, got my first A/F on December 4th, and got my BFP on January 4th! I am 6w4days now. They say you are very fertile after a M/C - so don't give up! I pray you will get your BFP very soon!!

I had 2 m/c.  I had a d&c and waited three cycles.  Got pg again had another m/c.  Didnt wait after that at all and got pg and had a healthy son. Then had another healthy son.  Later when we wanted another,  I had to have a d&c not for m/c but for ttc purposes(my lining was too thick eggs couldnt implantand didnt wait and got pg again with a little girl.(35wks today)  Good luck to you and sorry for your loss.

Oh honey, I am so sorry.  I know how it feels.  But the good news is, you got pregnant and you can do it again!!

After a D&C (I have had 3), I was always told 1 cycle.  I once asked why that was, and was told mainly for dating purposes.  A first trimester miscarriage does not do any damage or harm to your body.  We recooperate  very quickly.  In fact, I conceived my son immediately after a miscarriage, with no cycle at all in between.  That was a natural miscarriage though.

Unless your Dr. has a reason to wait, or there were complications, there really isn't any reason to not start trying right after your first cycle.  I am like you....I didn't want to wait either.  Good luck, and SSBD to you!!!
