How much bleeding is normal for m/c ?

Hello,

Had a natural m/c Sunday night - this time not bleeding as much as my first one  ( where I had passed alot of clots and bled heavily for 4 days but, total 10 days bleeding/ spotting ) .  This time,so far, bleeding is lighter than expected - like a light AF.  Just wondering how much / or little bleeding is normal after mc ? Getting paranoid - I'm thinking if bleeding was heavier - it would "flush out " any remaining tissue.  Also, today after loading several cases of pop into car - my lower right ab aches and sometimes feel light jabs - did I hurt already sore uterus ?

Thanks Courtney27103 amd Army Princess,

Yesterday, started bleeding more than the past couple of days after mc and the blood is now red vs dark red/brownish.  Also, crampy and small clots.  I figure I'll just have to be patient and let this run its course.  I guess maybe its normal to worry every time you feel a jab when you're pregnant and then when going through m/c - worry about infection.  Thanks again for your responses - appreciate it !

I'm sorry for your loss. It's hard to say. I'm a bleeder and I always had heavy bleeding and clotting. Every woman is different as well as every pg. I would def have a follow up with your dr to make sure your levels are to zero and that your body is okay as well. Best wishes to you. I'm here if you need to talk....

I just experienced my first miscarriage and for me the bleeding was light for 4-5 days and on the sixth day I started heavy bleeding cramping and clots for two days then it got lighter much like a period for 4 more days.  My doctor said every woman is different and it can take 1-2 weeks to fully go through the miscarriage process and if it doesn't happen naturally they may recommend a D & C.  So I would give it some time and see what happens. If you have any concerns call your doctor.  I hope this helps a little. Take care.
