How to know medical abortion failed

Hi all please help me to get ride off this trouble.
My date of period was 7th approx. of every month, but this month I failed my period and on 12/12/2008 I have got chicken pox, I have done the Urine pregenancy test was positive but since I was suffered from chicken pox I have not taken any abortion pill, now after the complete cure of chicken pox I have taken  Mifepristone on 1 Jan 2009 and  after passing one day i have not got any bleeding hence I went to a doctor on 3 Jan 2009 he adviced that its about 8 weeks hence the medicine will not work and hence I appointed the Surgerical abortion for today morning but at around 3:30 AM I have got severe bleeding with clots and stomach ache, back pain, dessiness, shivering etc.
so i reconcerned the doctor he told me that i have to go through the surgerical abortion yet else it will be the incomplete abortion, hence I decided that the doctor is trying to cheat me and I have started taking Misoprostal from today's eve as I have read while googling that it can be taken in 72 hrs after having Mifepristone.
Now please suggest me that if I need to test that my mediacl abortion is complete or not what i can do. Since the doctor says that abortion pill do not works after 40 days of preganancy period. My bledding was severe in the morning and now it is in control manner same as it happens in periods. Is it possible in my case that abortion could be incomplete? Please suggest as the above words of my consulted doctor has worried me a lot.

With great wishes and thanks to all the helping hands.

hi,
this is avery serios topic. did you just took the medicine on your own for abortion you had a go ahead from the doctor. one thing In America doctors dont cheat. doctor can always take better decision than you.you can sue a doctor for cheating but i dont think that your doctor is cheating . why wud he cheat.ultrasound tells whether the abortion is done completely and yes incomplete abortions can lead to infections in many ways. so pls pls do whatever your doctor suggest now.nobody will cheat you. stop taking advise from friends on such a serious matter. i mysely is facing the same problem.

I'm so sorry. I had a very close friend that took the abortion pill at 9 weeks pg. It failed she didn't know she was bleeding for a few mos and thought it was a side affect she ended up having to get a d and c. If you do not follow up with your dr and make sure you expelled the pg you run the risk of infection and you don't want that to interfere with future pregnancies. I wish you the best and I hope it all works out for you. Feel better soon....Let me know what happens......

If you are saturating a high absorbancy pad in less than an hour you need to call your doctor or go to the ER, as well if you have a fever above 102or104 (not sure which)  The only way they can tell it is incomplete is if you get an utrasound or HCG beta level.  Talk with your doctor you have alot of questions on a very sensative topic.
