Huh?

Is it possible not knowing you were pregnant with twins and lost one.  The thing is I had a healthy baby boy then three weeks later I had a miscarriage.  No, it was not a new pregnancy.  The one didn't make it but stayed inside the whole time and no one knew about it.  It explain why I had so many problems during the pregnancy and almost lost my son and myself.  I had multiple ultrasounds and even had my gallbladder taken out (it started to shut down around my 20th week).  I was always sick and not with morning sickness.  I am wondering is it something I did to make this happen?  I knew I had a chance of having twins since it runs in my family (a lot of sets).  The question I have is how in the world did they miss this?

Hey

I am not sure if you had twins or not but I can tell you about my aunty and cousin's partner which could help you.

When my aunty was 12 weeks pregnant she bled very, very heavy with large clots.  When she delivered her daughter her placenta was double the size of a normal one.  The doctors suspected she was carying twins and one passed during the first trimester but it something you can't really prove.

My cousin's partner was about 14 weeks pregnant.  She started bleeding heavy and was told she was having a miscarriage.  She went home and miscarried.  About 3 months later she found out she was about 6 months pregnant.  No one ever knew what happened but the only exception is she was pregnant with twins and one passed while the other was delivered healthy.

I think sometimes things happen that you can't explain and try not to think too much into it because it is probably aleady hard for you right now - the unknown.  I hope that gives you a bit of knowledge that anything can happen.

Take care
