How often do I need to check Hcg levels with natural miscarriage?

Hi, I have a blighted ovum which I am planning to miscarry naturally (I am 10 weeks and bleeding daily for two).  My doctor wants to check my Hcg levels every two days!  I am just wondering if this is necessary.  Right now my levels are high (22,000) but dropping.  Every time I go in there I watch the other pregnant women waddle by and spend the afternoon crying.  Is it really necessary to test every two days?  Thanks for any information you can provide.

I'm sorry for what you are going through. Jenny is right your dr should checke them to make sure it's def a m/c. Your levels should rise every 48-72 hrs. If your dr can have him or her send and order to your local hosp and have your bloodwork done there it may be less painful. I'm a true optomist don't throw the towel in unless you have a confirmed m/c. I'm here if you need to talk! Best wishes to you!
