Hello, first I want to say so sorry for our loss.
I am not in the medical field, but I can tell you what has happened to me...I have two daughters (age 4 and 2y11m) and my third pregnancy ended in miscarriage on Aug 6 (at 15 weeks gestation), bled for about 30 days, heavy to light and then finally spotting. I believe that I started another cycle 35 days after the m/c as the bleeding suddenly became heaver, but not my normal menstrual bleeding, and I just got confirmation that I have ovulated this cycle (via OPK's and Fertility Friend). I did continue to spot after my 'period' should have ended... so yes it is possible to get a menstrual cycle a month after a m/c.
I hope this helped you a little, remember that every woman, every pregnancy and every miscarriage is going to be different, also remember that a future pregnancy or baby will never replace what you have lost. Hang in there and, while I don't know your plans for the future, let your body heal, let yourself grieve as much as you need to, before you try to get pregnant again... ((((HUGS))))
I bled for 6 days during m/c, then 4 weeks on the dot I got my period. It was slightly heavier then normal, but not obnoxious. After first period, O'd on time (verified by OPK). I wasn't really expecting this as I've heard so many horror stories. Like above, everybody is different. I would think that if you continue to have concerns you should go see your doctor, or at least call and talk to the nurse.
it is very normal to have your period again 4 weeks later. sometimes our bodies jump right back on track. with my first MC, i did not get my period til 7 weeks later but with my 2nd, i got it 2 weeks later. our bodies know what they are doing.
sorry for your loss, but do not give up hope, it will happen soon.
