Miscarriage- I need advise, PLEASE

I had a miscarriage 4 years ago when I was 8 weeks pregnant.  I got pregnant a year later and had a healthy little boy with no complications.  My husband and I decided to start trying again in November 2009 when my son was 2 ½ .  We got pregnant 7 months later, and miscarried at 7 ½ weeks.  We began trying again right away, and got pregnant without having a period in between the miscarriage and the pregnancy.  I was very nervous about the pregnancy, and saw the doctor more than once a month.  At 14 ½ weeks I went in for my regularly scheduled appt., and was told my baby had no heartbeat.  I had four other u/s, and the baby always looked healthy with a strong heartbeat.  My doctor gave me some pills to take to terminate the pregnancy.  I’m now at 15 weeks, and still waiting on everything to pass.  If it does not pass soon, I will have to have a D/C.  My doctor recommended we do genetic testing before trying again.  I guess my question is how can I have three miscarriages and a healthy baby, if there is something genetically wrong or incompatible with us.

I've been there myself three years ago.  My husband and I were devastated. I'm currently 10 wks along 43 yrs. old and still frightened.  The one thing you might have your doctor test is your progesterone levels.  I am on a supplement now and I do wonder if that is why I miscarried at 6 wks. From what I understand, poor hormone balances early in pregnancy cause a lot of miscarriages.

I'm so sorry for your losses, i suppose this is a question nobody can really answer! I myself have a 6yr old son and have been trying for number 2 for 5 years, have had tests as to why I was struggling to conceive and I had low progesterone, I have also had 3 miscarriages all around the 6 week mark! I dont know why I am miscarrying and the fact we have had our son makes it all the more baffling!! We had gentic testing amongst other tests (blood clotting, chromosones, hormonal tests) all have come back normal, so we really dont know why! I have been put on clomid now and hoping that will get me pregnant and that I can do the whole 9 months again. It seems when you have gone through what you have gone through and join a group like this, you do get to talk to people who have been through similar experiences and it does help to share your feelings with people who truely do understand what you have gone through!
