Losing tissue/clots is this normal?

Hi All, well it's been almost 14 weeks since my D&C back in January.  I had a very slight period in the middle of March which my Doc said may or not be a period ( it was really just spotting).  Well I started a very light bleed again on Saturday, then today the bleeding has got much heavier and I'm losing what looks like little clumps of tissue.  Just wondered if this is normal and if anyone else has had this following a D&C, in particular with their first proper AF.

Many thanks.

That is possible that they didnt get everything out from your last pregnancy. I hope they figure out what is happening. Please keep me updated. Take care and SSBD to you!

Hi lil-lady, oh boy it does sound similar!  Going by the date of the light bleed in March I was very late, this latest bleed didn't start until 41 days later.  I did do a test on day 40 and it was negative so not sure what to think really.  I had a really illogical thought only the other day that maybe they missed when they did the D&C, apparently my womb tilts backwards and the radiologist had trouble finding the baby on the ultrasound because of that.  Just makes me wonder if the obstetrician missed it :-/  I had very little bleeding after the D&C, lasted only a few hours then a week later I started losing horrid thick brown discharge and was given antibiotics for an infection.  The discharge stopped.  About a week later I then started having on off brown spotting until I had the red "light" af/spotting in the March.  About 5 days after that I had 7 days of brown spotting, then 41 days of nothing until this bleed with the tissue loss.

I'm so sorry you had another loss on the back of your D&C :(  I shall let you know what my doc says when I see her on Weds.

Okay so im wondering- did you take a pregnancy test in March?  Weirdly enough I feel that I experienced the exact same thing as you except a few minor details. Also, was your period late at all this month?
I had a D&C back on January 4th after losing my baby at 11 weeks along. I had 1 light period about 6 weeks afterwards. Then about 4 weeks later we got a BFP. We were excited again until I started bleeding like crazy with tissue and clumps like you are experiencing. AF was 5 days late, had a positive HPT, and now I was miscarrying. I really dont want to discourage you but you might be having a m/c and would have never even known about it. Many woman will have a unnoticed m/c throughout their lives and never even realize it, they just think their cycle was a little late. My only advice is to go to the doctor and get your HCG levels checked. That's what I had to do and they had to follow my HCG down until it got below 5. I dont believe you should have that tissue and clumps if you had a D&C because the surgery cleans you out completely (most of the time). Please keep us updated and take care of yourself. If there is something still in there it can grow to an infection, and that is the last thing you need. Take care and SSBD to you.
