I had an ectopic last year they done an internal US straight away and didn't want me to leave hospital as they can rupture at any time it's very serious and they shouldn't just leave u without knowing. I ended up getting an injection to end the pregnancy which worked thankfully

It does sound like a threatened miscarriage - a "blighted ovum" - which is different from an ectopic pregnancy.

Besides hormone levels lessening,  is there any reason they think the embryo implanted outside your uterus?

skyla,  an ectopic pregnancy in your tubes is a medical emergency.  Have they at least done an ultrasound to see if your tubes are clear?
