Nausea/unwell before miscarriage?

HI ladies,
I've posted on here several times and want to thank you all in advance for your helpful responses.  I am 10 weeks 4 days pregnant with a blighted ovum.  I have known this for 3 weeks and have been waiting for nature to take its course.  I had my hcg done 2.5 weeks ago and it was 7200, I had it done again monday and it was 17,300 so it doesn't look like I am going to miscarry naturally anytime soon.  This is my 3rd miscarriage in a row and I should know how it feels by now but I don't remember feeling this ill last time.  My question is: Have any of you felt nausea, dizziness, and generally unwell before the miscarriage begins?  This started yesterday and just hasn't let up.  I'm wondering if I have the flu or something.  I had another ultrasound 2 days ago and had the blighted ovum confirmed.  I just don't understand why I feel so ill.  Maybe it's the beginning of my miscarriage? what do you guys think? Any similar experiences?

I'm sorry for your losses. I usually do not get ill but with my last m/c in sept I was very dizzy and ill and went to the er I was dehydrated. I have had the same diziness with this pg so it's hard to say. My numbers like yours rose with my last m/c and it was a nasty roller coaster ride. I'm so sorry you have to go through this. Are you waiting it out and seeing what happens have you thought about maybe getting a 2nd opinion? It could be the flu or it could be the start. Have you had any bleeding or spotting at all? I wish you did not have to play the waiting game with something so awful. I wish you the best. If you don't feel better soon I would def go get checked out you don't want to end up with a infection or anything. Take care. I'm here if you need to talk!

Hey, I'm sorry to hear about your loss.  All I can think of is that maybe since your hormone levels are rising you are suffering from normal pregnancy symptoms even though it's a blighted ovum.  If your levels are rising your body thinks it's still pregnant, and a level of 17000 coincides with when many pregnant women begin to feel more ill.  I had to wait with a blighted ovum also, I know the pain and frustration of waiting for something to happen.  I'm sorry I can't give you any other ideas.  See your Dr. if it continues though.

Thanks for your input!  As it turns out I think that was my body's way of preparing for what was to come.  My miscarriage started Friday May 1st and I passed the baby Monday morning.  I had NO IDEA how painful that would be.  It was the most pain I have ever felt! Since then I've continued to bleed and I've had an ultrasound to confirm that it was a complete miscarriage.  I no longer feel sick and I have most of my energy back.  I haven't experienced that with any of my other miscarriages but this time I was 11.5 weeks.  Maybe that made the difference in my case??  Thanks again.
