Pending Miscarriage, What to expect

Hi all,
I went in for a general check up to my OB/Gyn (trying to conceive for almost a year now) and to my surprise I tested positive for pregnancy. It was so unexpected, cos it was only 10 days after my periods. So the Dr told me to give a couple of blood tests and later found out that I was going to have a miscarriage :(
This is my first time getting pregnant and now miscarrying, I'm not sure what to expect. I dont feel any symptoms of miscarriage. No cramping or bleeding. Is it going to be just like another period or will it be  longer?
I had my last period on April 3rd (which lasted for about 3days,which is normal) and met the Dr on April 14th, which is when I tested positive for pregnancy. On April 19 my miscarriage was confirmed. My period cycle is 30 days long, I had done a home pregnancy test on March 30 and it came back negative.
I just want to know when could I have gotten pregnant and did I already miscarry on April 3? If not please let me know on what to expect? I'm really worried and scared

I'm going to have to agree with Rainbow2010. I also had a natural miscarrige in March, I was about 11 1/2 weeks. No one told me what to expect as the docs were against me having it natural and without D&C. On March 11th when I wiped it was dark brown until the 13th it was light bleeding(red) then O MAN the 16th came and I was basically having contractions just about the whole day blood was just pouring out when I was on the toilet and I passed 4 clots. A few days previous to this I was passing smaller bloody stuff I'll just call it that. Then the the next 2 days I had period like bleeding. Then had light bleeding for 2 more days then it stopped for 3 more days. Then I spotted for another 2 more days then that was it. The day the clots came out was the most painful thing I've ever experienced I didn't take any pain meds. It made me dizzy and tear up at one point I told my DH we might need to go to the hospital. I would suggest to have some pain meds on hand though it will probably calm the pain. Like Rainbow said I don't want to freak you out either, but I do want you to be prepared. I really wish the docs would have told me what to expect and suggest pain meds to me, but it was worth it anyway because I definitely didn't want to have a D&C. I'm very sorry you're going through this you are in my prayers.

Hi - I just had a natural miscarriage in March. I was scared as well. People told me it would feel like a regular period. Well, multiply that times 10. Not to scare you, but definitely get some pain meds. I had darvocet at first, and it didn't even touch the pain, so I had to call & get my DR to prescribe hydrocodone. Once I had that, it was fine. I bled for about 10 days after that & then back to normal (physically).
Except for now it's been 6 weeks & I still don't have a period & am having pregnancy symptoms again. I have had several BFNs so not sure what is going on yet. Good luck & get the pain meds! Prayers....Rainbow
