Period after miscarriage

Hi everyone! So happy I found this community.
I had a miscarriage exactly 4 weeks ago naturally. Got an ultra sound a week later that confirmed it was all done.
My question is when did you all get your period after miscarrying? I've had random little spotting of brown here and there but no period. I called my dr. And the nurse said it was normal but gave me no information. I felt like it was a waste of my time to call. My dr. Had told me to expect my period around the time I miscarried which would be about now. Any experience with this? Thank you all!

I'm really sorry to hear about your loss.  I lost two pregnancies back to back last year May / August. Have you had your hcg tested recently to make sure your numbers are going down. It would also give you an indication of when to expect your next cycle and be able to tell if you expelled everything too. Having an ultrasound to confirm that your uterus is clear is a good idea too. I would ask about these things if you reach 6 weeks post mc and haven't had a period.

Thank u for your response. I was 10 weeks but baby stopped growing at 6 weeks. My cycle is always right on and even the day I miscarried it was around my normal period. Odd.
Ok I shall wait 4 more weeks. Lol.
Did you by chance have any slight brown spotting before your period came?

Im sorry for your loss. I had a miscarriage at 9+5 in August last year. It took me exactly 4 weeks after the bleeding had stopped (from the miscarriage) to get my period but my doctor said it can take 4-8 weeks to get a period. It also depends how far along you were when you lost the baby and your menstrual cycle. I hope you're doing well. Also, you're super fertile after miscarriage, so it is possible to get pregnant very shortly after.
