Faint line on OPK

I am using these ovulation tests that I bought off the earlypregnancytests.com website. They are the test strips that you dip in the urine. Well last time I was pregnant (which ended in m/c) I started with a faint line that got darker every day closer to O'ing, but the line never got as dark as the control line. We just BD'd every day the week I was fertile (which worked the very first time!!). Well since this is my 2nd AF after my m/c I have no idea when I'm going to ovulate, since my 1st and 2nd AF were only 3 weeks apart and this AF has been very long and heavy...I'm on CD 8 now. I did an ovulation test today and got a very faint line. Do you recommend that we start BD'ing now, or should I take another ovulation test tomorrow and see if the line is darker and start BD'ing then if it is? I just don't want to miss when I ovulate. I have heard that you can get a faint line every single day of the cycle since LH is always produced in the body. Any advice, suggestions, etc would be greatly appreciated!

It does sound like you could be O'ing soon.  Keep on going and keep on testing!!

Well I have still been doing the OPKs, all are still negative. I'm on CD14 today (saturday) and I've also been checking my cervix. On thursday, the 1st day off AF, my cervix was low, and now today (saturday) my cervix is higher and soft. I do have more CM, but it seems a little sticky at this point. Does it sound like I may be getting ready to ovulate? My OPKs are all negative at this point...today I barely even saw a faint line. Any thoughts? We have been BD'ing at least every other day for the past few days. Thanks!

IMHO, I would keep on testing.  It's very true that m/c can cause your cycle to be screwy for awhile, so just try to hang in there!

I just hope that I haven't already O'd. I think I'm just paranoid since my cyle was only 20 days last time. Yesterday I got a faint line and today I didn't get any line. I tested at the same time today. If I already O'd that would mean I O'd like on CD 5 or 6, which is highly unlikely right? I am still spotting from my AF this time, so maybe my cycle will be longer this time?

I use to use the Answer brand - and alot of women here do.  I had good results with them.  I switched over to the clear blue easy digis last cycle, so I could see a smiley face :)  I like them a lot, but they are twice as expensive :(  Some women use a combo of both.  Use the cheapies till the surge, and use the digi to confirm the surge.

Have you had good luck with any particular OPK tests? I have heard good things about the First Response OPKs. Right now I am just using OPK test strips that I bought on earlypregnancytests.com.

Thanks for the replies! My 1st AF after the m/c started Dec 23 and lasted exactly 1 week, then 2nd AF started Jan 11, which would put me at CD10, but I'm still spotting very faint brown as of now, so this AF has been very long! I'm going to do the OPKs every day until I get a +. hopefully today will be alittle darker than yesterday. I have NO idea when I'm supposed to O since my periods were only 3 weeks apart, but normally, before the m/c I was right around 28-29 days of my cycle and AF lasted maybe 5 days with light bleeding.

Like nunu said, you are likely to consistently get a faint line due to LH always being present.  Everything I have researched (including talking to my RE), is that you should BD every other day up until the surge, then BD day of surge and the next few days.  The swimmers can last from anywhere from 3 - 5 days (depending on your CM and their strength).  The trick is to make sure you get the swimmers there before you O, as the egg will typically only last 12 hours.

However, if you aspire to be a member of ArmyPrincess's boot camp she will "demand" that you BD every single day of your cycle!

Try googling sperm meets egg plan.

you are more then likely to get a faint line every day as you will always have LH in your system. I used those tests last month and didnt get a + but then ended up having a long cycle so probably missed it my serge by stopping too early.
you need to give us some dates on when AF started both times. it is hard because your cycle can be all over the place after a m/c. i would keep on testing.
the month i got pregnant i had a line that got darker every day until a +. last month the lines were lighter than darker then lighter. they were all over the place.
testing one day and getting a light line isnt long enough to test. what CD are you now?
