Regular Cycle

How long after your miscarriage did it take for your cycle to become regular? I have given up on TTC but would like to get back to the old me.

I have a question. I had a miscarriage in Sept and a D&C on Sept 26. I got my first period 11/1 and it was normal and lasted 7 days. I got my 2nd period 11/28 and I have had it for 14 days now. Is it normal to have a period last 2 week?

I'm so sorry about your loss...It took me 14 weeks to get AF back and I'm still not quite sure if I've gone back to my reg. cycle (this is my first cycle since m/c in Aug.) I'm wishing you lots of luck :) We're here for you if you ever need to talk!

Update: After miscarrying on or around Nov. 8th, I got my first AF on Dec. 8th. It was heavy right off the bat and is just about gone now (day 3). It is the shortest period I've ever had, no cramps at all, I wonder if it will always be like this from now on.

I completely understand wanting your body back.  I bleed/spotted for 4+ weeks with my miscarriage.  I am still waiting on AF.  It's been 13 days with no bleeding.  I read on a different website (sorry I don't remember which one as I had been to so many) that you need to go 20+ days without bleeding/spotting for it to be AF.  Otherwise it is residual miscarriage bleeding.

My doctor told me that it could be 2-3 months before I have normal cycles.  Hang in there.

I started my m/c on Oct 30 (started then with spotting), and actually started passing tissue on Nov 9. Well....I am STILL spotting (very small amounts) and my hcg levels are still not back to normal. So, it can take up to 8 weeks or even longer for some women to get back on track with their hormones. So, I have no idea when to expect my first AF. I'm hoping by the end of this month.

I just want to be normal again. I started miscarrying on Tuesday of last week,,,and I am still spotting. So, when the spotting stops, I will start keeping track of my cycle again...

My first AF came 34 days after m/c. Then the next 2 were also 34 days...This one took 41 days though. But my dr. said that it is my fibroid causing the long cycles, so I'm not sure. I have heard that some women take up to a year though.

I miscarried sometime around the week of Nov. 8th and today AF came. So, I guess that it took me a month to get it back. But my hubby and I had an oopsie a week ago and I'm NOT ready to get pregnant again, so I took Plan B (emergency contraceptive) and I'm not sure if that jump started my period or what. So, I have no idea if this is now my normal cycle. I used to get AF on or around the 24th of the month like CLOCKWORK. And now it's Dec. 8th? Ah well, it's a waiting game I guess. Just like all of this madness. I wish scientists would get their noses out of bones and Mars and start figuring out the mysteries of miscarriages!!!!
