Returning to manual labor job after a miscarriage

Hello,

I had a d/c 2 weeks ago. The job I have has a lot of heavy lifting of 55lbs or more. I was wonder how long before I should return to this time of work? We intend to try again and I want to be in good shape. This was my second pregnancy and first miscarriage. I am also going to be forty this year. I have continued to take my prenatal vitamins and changed my diet to an even healthier way. I just do not want to do anything to harm my chances.

Thanks for the advice. I see my Dr today and I believe she will agree with what you said and what I believe. I need at least another 4 to six weeks to make sure I am totally healed. I really want to try again, so I will be careful to help boost the next babies chances.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I would def check with your dr before returning back to work. I know my dr always told me a few wks and from there to still take it easy light lifting etc. Your body just went through so much you just want to make sure your body is at 100% before pushing yourself especially if your job entails heavy lifting. Take care I hope you feel better soon..
