Signs leading to another miscarriage?

I had an early scan to rule out an ectopic pregnancy at 6 weeks 1 day (was experiencing some pain on my left side) at an early pregnancy clinic.  The baby measured exactly 6 weeks 1 day and a hb was detected.  8 days later I had my first appointment with my high risk pregnancy doctor (had a previous miscarriage at 13 weeks 4 months ago).  I know that babies are supposed to gain approximately 1 mm per day starting at 6 weeks.  According to this and my last scan 8 days ago, the baby should have measured 7 weeks 2 days.  Instead the baby measured 6 weeks 5 days.  Of course this worried me, but the dr said there is nothing to worry about especially since we picked up a hb of 151 bpm.  I am not so worried that my dates could be off, but more worried that the baby only grew 4 mm in 8 days when it should have grown 8 mm in 8 days. Of course I am not looking for medical advice, just  seeing if this has happened to anyone else?  Also, I know that a miscarriage this early can not be stopped, but I would at least like to prepare myself if this might be the case.

Oh how awesome!  I used a Fetal doppler on mine especially for the first trimester when I had miscarried before and it really helped to ease my mind :D  You are probably going to have a girl with a heartbeat like that ;)  Thanks so much for keeping us posted I love hearing news like this!

I went back for another scan and when the baby should have measured 7 weeks 6 days according to the last scan, the baby measured crl 8 weeks 2 days .  I am not sure if the last time the measurements were off or the baby just caught up in growth over the last week, but so far everything looks good.  We heard a strong hb of 160 bpm.  Because of my previous micarriage at 13 weeks (missed miscarriage), I know I will worry myself crazy...but everytime I see a good scan it reassures me a little bit more.

My babies always measured small, this one in fact is the first time that so far we have been right on the money.  But then again I am almost positive of the date of conception so this could be why.  Every baby is different too, so I wouldn't worry about it, the measurements could even catch up in the weeks to come :D Keep us posted.

Ultrasounds can be wrong. Only one of my babies EVER measured correctly...
If you went by those machines to determine how far along you were, then I would probably still be pregnant with my second son. lol

My babies are all ( except first one) small...I'm usually giving birth by the time those darn machines even measure that I'm pregnant lol!

But seriously...with the last 3 babies ( all 4 born in March) the U/S kept saying that I should have had them all in July...that's how small they were measuring.
My last one was high risk as I was 41 when I had him.

Don't worry about those machines...small babies do not mean a m/c might happen.
You're just having a baby that's going to be under 2 feet tall and weigh in under 12 pounds. lol
