WHERE IS MY PERIOD??!!!!!

OK so I am being a bug-a-boo on here, but I do apprieciate the advice. I had a m/c naturally on April 1st this year at 11 wks. I was told by my doc that I "should" have my "normal" cycle this month, which the first day(at least of my last period) was on the 27th of Dec.08(before I found out I was preg.). I have not had a period yet. I know women can be off, but my doc said everything went normally for me. I thought that I was going to start two days ago, faint cramping-very faint. I wouldn't say that I "feel" prego, but I try to keep the hope alive since my lost pregnancy was planned. So, what do you think ladies, should I take an at home preg test this weekend, or wait?! My doc can't get me in until the 13th of May!!!

ericaannie...there is a TTC after m/c forum that has a lot of great support.  I am glad you got back your cycle in a timely manner...mine has not been as such and it's driving me insane.  Good luck to you.

Yeah I got excited way too soon!! Started the dreaded period curse today!! Cried in the bathroom for like thirty mins. while my two year old slept. I guess this is a sign that I am still broke up over the loss, I just look at my daughter and think of all I missed. The good side of this is now I can def get back in tune to when I can try and actually have a chance of getting preg. Plus, it's a relief that my physical being is back to normal. Like my mom always told me growing up, you cannot care for anyone else unless you care for yourself!! (About the only good advice-but at least true)!! I need to join a TTC FORUM now!!! Thnkx. again. For listening.

I'm sorry for your losses. I have only had one m/c where my cycle was not affected. I have learned since being a member on this website that every dr practices medicine differently. My previous obgyn has always told me that it can take up to 3 cycles or more to regulate. As for cramping being a sign of pg I have always had cramping from the 1st day I become pg to the day I deliver and I'm always crampy o'ng and having my period I have like one good week out of the month if that. So it could be a sign but it could also be your uterus getting back to normal. You were 11 wks when you had a m/c that is far along for a m/c. If you think you are pg take a test. You may have not had your cycle affected and become pg even before your first period since your m/c. If you are uncertain of the results of your hpt def have your blood drawn. Take care and best wishes to you! Keep me posted and let me know what happens!
