Waiting for miscarriage

Hi everyone! I am seeking help from others that have experienced this. I found out I was pregnant at the beginning of June and I was elated. The doctor found I had low progesterone so he put me
On a supplement. My first ultrasound showed a heartbeat of 109 beats per minute and that I was 6 wks/1 day. At that moment I knew something was wrong. The timing just was not right. From my last period I should have been 10 weeks along. The doc said I may have ovulated late and to keep with the progesterone. I had a cyst on my ovary so they were going to recheck again in three weeks. While on vacation last week I had some light bleeding with some clotting. I went to the emergency room where they found no heartbeat and no growth. They said I was miscarrying. I was devastated( even though in my heart I already knew something was wrong). Well the bleeding stopped the next day And my doc said that it is just a waiting game now. My hormone levels were still high so he said it could take weeks. He could give me a pill to speed up the process or I can have a d and c. I don't want to wait any longer as I want to move on with my life a ttc soon.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do? I am also so afraid that my body won't be able to carry future children now. I'm 29 and healthy. I just don't understand.

My experience...I took the pill to speed up the miscarrying process. The bleeding lasted about a week and stopped. My.hcg levels on the other hand didn't hit 0 until 9 weeks later. So I guess what I'm trying to say is you can spees up the process of miscarrying but it may take time for your body to go back to normal. Some women are ready sooner than others...I just happen to be the one that took forever lol but after waiting 3 cycles after I miscarried I fell pregnant again and I am now almost 11 weeks with a healthy baby. Keep taking your prenatals and just bc you had one miscarriage doesn't mean u will have another! Good luck :)

Did you use the pill? Four years ago I had a missed miscarriage. The baby stopped developing at 8w and I didnt know until I was supposed to be 12w. The doctors gave me misoprostal to try to help me pass the baby. It took several doses of the pill, two of which were administered at the hospital for me to start bleeding. And an ultrasound two weeks after that confirmed that I still had tissue left. I had a d&c a few days later to lessen the chance of infection.
I had my second missed miscarriage a year later, and the misoprostal worked well enough by itself then.
Your hormone levels may stay high for a while.
I wish you healing and peace. Try not to worry about not being able to carry a child. The unfortunate fact.... that so many of us dont know until we experience it... is that miscarriages are very common. 1 out of 3 pregnancies result in a miscarriage, and yet it isnt talked about.
And many women go on to have babies after miscarriages.
Like I said before, I wish you healing and peace.
