I was told that the dr only tell you 2 wait as its easier 2 calculate due date and better for you emotionally.Think it is only if you've had a d+c that u need 2 give ur cervix time 2 heel. I started ttc week after my mc but got my af 2day least I know my body now bk 2 normal and theirs always this month just going 2 relax and keep trying.Good luck 2 you let us know the outcome

I am sooo sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you!  I am waiting for my doctors office to call me back, so to pass the time I logged in and seen your post. I hate to ask, but did your doctor say why you may have m/c again? I am only asking bec my doctor told me to wait to try till we have at least 1 normal cycle.. bec too soon after a m/c your uterus isn't strong enough to carry a healthy pregnancy. I never got my period and it was almost 9 weeks ago.
They had me do another blood test yesterday and I am awaiting my results. They are supposed to tell me if I am having a 2nd miscarriage, or if I'm even pregnant again. I don't know what to think, I am soo sick to my stomach.
I hope you get your rainbow soon too! Best of luck to you.

Hello and I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my baby today at 10 weeks at my dr's appointment. I have been bleeding since Sunday the 3rd. This is my second m/c I got pregnant with this one a week after my first m/c with the dr's consent. You are fertile after a miscarrige because once your hcg level drops to zero you start to ovulate in no time. Based on my conception I ovulated like three days after my m/c, bleeding stopped, and hcg was at zero. Unless your dr says otherwise continue. Good luck to you! Hoping to get my rainbow soon too :)

Hi sorry 4 everyones loss. i had a mc 4 wks ago thought i was 10 wks but only measured at 6 wks and no heartbeat only bleed 4 a wk no dnc just the tablets but had very bad cramping had 2stay in hospital to get pain relief. My doctor and midwife told me there was no real reason 2 wait 2 ttc again just when we feel ready so we started getting intimate a wk and a half later not charting or anything just going 2 let nature take its course and not stress about it so fingers crossed as been told you are very fertile following a mc.I took a test start off wk 2 make sure my levels were bk down and it came bk negative which is good as means if need 2 take a test in next few wks will know its not left over from my mc.Does anyone know when would be the earliest i could take a test. Good luck 2 all am sure we'll have what we want soon and delbert81 u r in my prayers

Thank you. I am praying for a period. I don't know how to get thru another m/c. If I do, I keep telling myself that at least it's just "cells" and doesn't have a heartbeat yet. I read online that low levels, with bad cramping can mean a tubal pregnancy. Now I'm getting scared. I won't know anything till next week. I'd rather not be pregnant at all than to go thru another m/c or worse, a tubal pregn.
I'll keep you posted.
Thank you!!!!

So sorry to hear that. Hopefully it is just the numbers coming down slowly and not another m/c. I hope you get your period soon so you can try again. Good luck, I am keeping my fingers crossed for you that you get your happy and healthy pregnancy soon.

My blood work came back, but my levels aren't high. Doc can't tell if this is the early stage of a new pregnancy, or levels still from my m/c. They want me to redo the blood work in a week. The bad news is that they said my levels (hcg 144, progst 0.7) are so low, that if I am newly pregn, I will most likely miscarry again.. even if I started progst supplm. They told me I would prob m/c soon. So, that *****!
I'll keep you posted.

That is encouraging that the line is dark. I would guess that you have a real positive.  I took a hpt a week ago just to see if I still had the hcg in my system and I only got a very faint positive and my miscarriage was 6/10 so this was less than 2 weeks later. By now I suspect it is completely out of my system. Good luck with your blood test results. Let us know how that goes.

I am sorry for both of your losses! But I hope my story gives you hope.
I had a "missed" miscarriage around 4/8 (8w 5d)  but didn't find out till an ultrasound on 5/4 (12w) where the baby didn't have a heartbeat. Had a d&c on 5/5. I still haven't had a period and its 8 weeks after the d&c. My fiance and I haven't been using any protection even tho my doc said to wait till my first period to start trying. I started cramping like I was getting ready to start, but didn't. I took a first response test last night, bec I should have started by now.. and it was positive.. with very dark lines. I was thinking the same about my hcg from our miscarriage would be affecting the positive test but I can't see it lasting that long in our systems. I've read alot of posts on here that some women got pregnant again within a few weeks after their miscarriage. I called my doc and I'm getting a blood test today. We're afraid its a false negative but praying we'll have a healthy pregnancy this time. I'll know the results tomorrow.
I would keep trying until you get a positive test, but I don't think there is anything over the counter you can take to help you get pregnant. I know the doc can prescribe you something to force your ovulation, but there are risks of multiples with that too..

Good Luck to you both,
Lori

I am sorry for your loss. I don't know anything that can get you pregnant faster. I know it is best to take prenatal vitamins with folic acid to make sure you have the nutrients you need once you get pregnant. I have also heard that you can be more fertile after a miscarriage but I don't know if that is true. I just had a miscarriage June 10 so I am hoping that is the case. I have seen a lot of success stories on this site and other sites where the women are pregnant again within 3-6 months. Good luck. I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy very soon.
