confused

Hello, my name is rain :)
Ive had 2 miscarriges this year. I am now 8 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I went on for a ultasound 6 days ago and the docter said I was miscarring. They wouldn't tell me anything else as to what was going on. It has now been 6 days since then and I still have not had any cramping or bleeding plus im still getting morning sickness. Is there any chance they were wrong and my baby is fine?

Thank you,  my faith is keeping me going.  I will give it time, and see another doctor and have another center perform the ultra sound.  Like I mentioned earlier, I don't feel any pains and if I was miscarrying like my doctor says I would be in a lot of pain. I was with a friend when she started to have her miscarriage and it was a scary sight.  I wished I could have stopped it but all I could do was pray for her.  She was in so much pain, her back was killing her and she was bleeding.  She was in her 7th week.  She now has two amazing babies.

They won't typically listen for a heartbeat yet.  They can see it and measure it on the ultrasound.  It usually starts and becomes visible anywhere from 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 weeks.

Miscarriages can differ from case to case.  In your case though, your not sure of your dates.  So I wouldn't throw in the towel yet. It's possible it's just to early.  Don't let them talk you into doing anything you don't want to do.  If this were me (and I have been in your shoes), I would wait another week or two and get another ultrasound.  Did they tell you what the sac was measuring?  If your Dr. won't give you information, or at least explain why they think you are miscarrying, I too would see a different Dr.  They seem to forget sometimes that this is a really emotional experience for us.  You are entitled to information.  Good luck to you. I hope everything is ok.

When I went in they didn't even listen for a heart beat. She said she could tell by the ultra sound. Im really not to sure about how far I am along either cuz I miscarried then got pregnant again right away. If I am misscarring my other misscarriges weren't anything like this

This is not unusual I'm sorry to say.  After 7 weeks, Dr's would expect to see a heartbeat on an ultrasound.  If there isn't one, it is usually considered a non viable pregnancy.  Many times our bodies have not yet realized this, and it takes time for an actual miscarriage to start.  This is referred to as a missed miscarriage and it can take a few weeks for anything to happen.

If you are uncertain of dates, then certainly it is possible that all is well, and a follow up scan should be scheduled.  Best of luck to you both.

Me either im really worried my docter wouldn't tell me anything just that im miscarring. I desided to get another docter my appointment is on Monday I really hope they'll tell me what's going on.

They wont be able to hear a heartbeat until after ur 8 weeks and that's only a maybe.  And u should be around 8 weeks now if ur last period was the 18th.

Hi, I have a similar situation.  My last period was August 18 or 19.  I am confused about the date.  The ob-gyn says I am about 8 wks.  I went in for the ultrasound and the technician says the sac looks like it is 6 wks and she couldn't find or hear the heart.  My gyn talked about options and she believes I am going through a miscarriage but I am not bleeding, and don't feel any pain?  I don't know what to do?
