Hi, I miscarried on the 23rd of November.. all bleeding stopped and then last week I had 4 days of brown discharge but no red blood.. does that still count as my period? Its stopped now and I just have normal clear discharge now

Usually the day the miscarriage begins is considered day 1 of a cycle but with that being said, it usually isn't a regular cycle. If you were to become pregnant before a regular period Dr's will go by day 1 of miscarriage until your pregnancy can be dated by an ultrasound. I'm sorry for your loss and wish you all the best

Thankyou so much for your help :) I kind of freaked out a little because of having unprotected sex and then the brown discharge, you've helped me feel a bit better :)

Because it is a miscarriage, I wouldn't count it as a cycle. I would wait until my next cycle.  That was you would have something solid to go by. Best of luck!!

Do I count the first day of my miscarriage as day 1 of my cycle or the day I stopped bleeding?

Hi, I'm so sorry for your loss. Brown blood does not count as a period. It's old blood from your last cycle. It sometimes takes a while to get a regular period. Just depends on how high your hcg levels were when you miscarried and what they are now. It sometimes take a while for that to go down!
