early pregnancy concern

I live on a small island and there are no obgyn here.  I am 5 1/2 weeks pregnant.  Yesterday after working out with my trainer, I discovered a small amount of light brown fluid for about 4 hours.  then it stopped and today there is nothing.  What does this mean?

If that's the only discharge you've noticed and haven't seen any since, you really should be just fine.

I'm not expert, this is just what I have learned from doing research.  Generally speaking if it is brown, it is considered to be old blood and really shouldn't cause you too much concern.  I would just make note of it to ask dr about when you get in.  If it gets heavier or turns red, then you should go to the ER.

Congrats on your pregnancy! That could have been implantation bleeding which is nothing to worry about...When are you going to be able to get to a dr.?
