Is this within standard of care

I had a miscarriage at 16 week. For one week my ob/gyn nurse was diagnoising me over the phone for constipation and my doctor partner told me to take a enema at the end of the week without examing me, I was having bowel movements but I still felt like I was having trap gas. Then on top of that I was in so much pain I finally went to the e.r. where my water bag broke while I was waiting to do a ultrasound. I was told I was losing my baby then discharge a few minutes later to have my miscarriage at home, a ultrasound was never done before being discharge. i was told by the er doctor I would pass tissue the size of a bar of soap. Less then one hour after being discharge home my son was delivered and still breathing. He died in my husbands hands. Is this a normal pratice

I would definately look into seeing a lawyer in your case. It sounds like the Dr. you seen was in a hurry to have you leave the E.R. I'm sorry for your loss I myself have had 3 miscarriages. You may need to speak with someone at a different hospital to determine what you should do. Good Luck.

I am so sorry. that is a terrible story.  I don't have much medical insight, but i do have common sense and it does not sound like you got appropriate care.  where do u live?  who is your OB?  I am so sorry.
