My first period after i miscarried was abnormal an I had really bad cramps as far as bleeding if you are filling a pad up in less than 2 hours you need to be seen by your Dr ..also helpful if you continue taking your prenatal vitamin especially with the bleeding ..i was slightly anemic an it wasn't fun ..I'm so sorry for your loss ..an please don't hesitate to at least call your Dr if the bleeding keeps up ..

I have had my period be both extremely heavy and extremely light after a miscarriage.  If it is really heavy and you are having clotting, I think you should check in with your Dr.  Sometimes a miscarriage can be incomplete, and what women think are their periods is actually the body trying to rid itself.  And, as summer said, if you are filling a pad an hour, you need to seek emergency medical treatment.  I'm sorry for your loss, and I wish you peace and healing.

Thank you girls! The doctor has given me antibiotics and since I passed that clot the bleeding has almost stopped .

I lost our first pregnancy via IVF. We had been ttc for 10 yrs. Started bleeding 4 days ago. Passing clots the size of a half dollar.
Should I be concerned with this. I was almost 5 weeks
Thanks Ginger

If your five weeks pregnant and passing clots you should get it checked out.Its always best to get it checked out. My friend passed clots during the early weeks and turned out fine she is now 30 weeks. I dont know how big half a dollar is because im British.
