is this a miscarrige

I thought I might possibly be pregnant this month because I missed my period and my breasts were tender. Then two days after I should have got my period I bled for one day and then spotted. (normally I bleed for 5 days) My breasts were no longer tender and I thought I must not have been pregnant and I just had a short period for some reason.  Then today, 8 days later, I woke with tender breasts again and I am spotting.  I've never done this before.  Do you think I could have been pregnant, but miscarried right away and this new spotting is related to that? thanks

Congrats on the pregnancy.  I would call and let them know that you are spotting.  I know it's normal to do in the first trimester but it's better safe than sorry if you have had a miscarriage before.  I would probably think that the bleeding from the first time was the implantation or just could have been your period also...who knows.  Just call the doctor it doesn't hurt to call and see what they say.

I finally took a preg test today and it is positive, but I'm still spotting so I'm really concerned.  Also, my lower back really hurts....feels like I've pulled a muscle, but wondering if it could be bc of an ectopic preg???  Guess I need to go get myself checked out.

Did you take a pregnancy test? If you are pregnant it could've been implantation bleeding. If you had a miscarriage (even an early one from what I understand) you probably would've passed clots too. So either you could be pregnant and fine; you could be pregnant and having a miscarriage; or your cycle could just be out of whack. Many possibilities. If I were you, I'd take a pregancy test. Hope this helps!!!
