I know that HCG levels are supposed to double like Michelledj said. I know something like this is hard to come to grips with and is very hurtful and can make you angry. I have had a miscarriage to back in 2003. I was 5 months long and there wasn't anything that my doctor could do. My water broke and everything. It's been hard on me and my husband, especially hard on me. He was a boy that we wanted very much and sometimes, even these many years later, it still feels like just yesterday that I lost him. We have tried to conceive again, but to no avail. Time will help ease your pain and God will help you cope through your loss and pain. If it wasn't for God I don't know how I would have ever dealt with the loss of my son. My sympathy to you Ashley in your time of loss and sorrow. Time and God will help you deal with your loss. God bless, and I am very sorry.

Hi, I am so sorry! These levels do suggest you are miscarrying, at 4 weeks levels can be low but should double every 48 hrs, the fact hcg has decreased to 5 isnt a good sign.  Have you got any cramps or bleeding?
