I'm not sure what's going on...

Ok, so here's the deal. August 12 I had a positive home preg. test, the following morning took another (just to make sure) and got a negative result. Aug 14 had heavy cramping and bleeding that lasted about 6 days. Some small clots. I would have only been about 5 weeks preggers, if I really was. Since then I have not had a period and have had 4 neg. home preg. tests.( last test taken aprox. 3 weeks ago) Since having my daughter in May '06, I have been regular with a 38 day cycle, before that I was extremely irregular. I have been having pregnancy symptoms incl. nausea/vomiting, bloating, mild cramping, backache and fatigue. Also, my last period before the m/c (or whatever happend) was June 28, would have been due for another Aug. 5, a week later (Aug 12) was when I had the positive pregnancy test.So why have I not had a period for 11 weeks now and negative pregnancy tests? Oh! and I didn't go to the dr. cause thought I just got a false positive in the first place ( and cause I can never get an appt. with her!! arrgh!) Please tell me I am not the only one who has gone through this!! Sorry if this is haphazard info!! Typing in a hurry as would like to get some feedback. I think I will go to a clinic today, though not sure what they can do for me...

yes i cant believe mine ruptured now of all times! I have enough stress! I was hoping for a BFP when they did a urine test but they didn't even say anything about what they tested for. the pain kinda felt like round ligament pain form when i was pregnant. the Dr said my cervix was still open and that my ovaries are fine. so after i get AF ill be tracking my cycle for sure!
Ruptured cysts suck!!! I'm so sorry you had to go through that on top of everything else. Let's just hope we all get back to normal and hopefully everything else just falls into place as we want it to. ( Sorry! Just got back from yoga...I'm all relaxed and peaceful, lol.)

they are right when they say that if you got preggers once then i will happen again. thats what keeps me going.
i just got back form the Dr. I was having lower abdominal pain again. turns out that the cyst that they found on my right ovary when they had to open my cervix had burst. at least that's all it was!

Bad news that you're not preggers. GOOD news that you found out what is going on and you are one step closer to TTC.

OK, so here's the deal...just got back from the Dr's and I have both a bladder infection and a yeast infection, yippee!! I am indeed NOT pregnant :( (I am v. sad about this) and my hormone levels seem good. They can't really explain what's happened, except to say that I got pregnant before so I should be able to again...Arrgh!! Am going absolutely nuts!! I just want AF to come so I can get on with trying to get preggers!!! Oh and to top everything off, yesterday my BF came in with her 1 week old baby..he was so sweet and tiny and I think my uterus was aching a little. lol! Anyway, here's to hoping that we get pregnant soon (and it sticks this time :P)
I hope this helps you. I had a natural M/C on 9/14. I did in fact have the pg confirmed by my obgyn. I then began ttc right away. About a week before I would have been due for I my period now mind you I'm using the 1st day of my M/C as my cycle start date I took a hpt one said positive and the dig said neg. I made an app and due to personal reasons could not make it on the day of the app. A few days later I began bleeding and clotting. I feel in my heart it was a m/c but I have no actual proof via being and hcg level. I had all of the symptoms of being pg and now they are gone. My period I have had since I was 11 and it's always been like clock work. I also have never experienced a false positive hpt and I don't know anyone who has either( not to say it can't happen). I have been TTC forever so obviously if I'm not diagnosed with a reproductive issue I can conceive. For you just go with your heart and keep in touch with your dr. On here we are not dr's but we can share our experiences. The women on here are very very supportive and full of helpful information. You do not need to apologize for anything you write you are experiencing something that is nerve racking and mind blowing. Sometimes people post questions and don't write enough info. Thanks so much!! Had a great dinner :) Also had a message on the phone that my blood work is back and they want to see me in the next couple of days...hard though as I work through the hrs. the dr is in!! Hard to take time when you work in child care...:P
It was 3 weeks ago that I took the last HPT...the wait for my blood work is killing me...I think I just might lose my mind sometime very soon!! Hopefully I can put everything aside tonight (3 year wedding anniversary tonight!!) Will keep you updated!! :)
I have had a few yeast infections because of antibiotics. i get three in a row every single time.
Dont you hate the wait for blood results to come back... after all the constant waiting we do cycle after cycle month after month the lab goes and takes forever to get results back to the drs and then sometimes its sitting on the Drs desk waiting for him to look at it then give it to the nurse so we can find out. Grrrrrr

When was the last time you took an HPT? I read through your post again, was it 3 weeks ago? The only reason I ask is because I have heard that a yeast infection can be a sign of pg. My sister told me that (i.e. I don't know how reliable, considering the source). Also, last year 2 girls in my office were pg and they both said they had gotten one.
My blood work should be back in the next few days...I hope that we can get to the root of the problem fast...I'm a little impatient. And as a lovely bonus, I think I have my first ever yeast infection (sorry!! TMI!!) What a great week so far, lol!! :P
It does sound like you had a m/c...there's this site peeonastick.com that tells you lots about HPT's and false positives...Is your bloodwork supposed to come back today? I hope you get some kind of answer! GOOD LUCK and lots of baby dust to you :D
having a OB/GYN that you are happy with and comfortable with is important. TTC is stresfull enough let alone doing it after a M/C. you need someone that will answer your questions and cares about what you are going through!

Thanks everyone, just got back from a clinic...most def. getting rid of my doctor...anyway, being sent for blood work to check HCG levels. He felt my belly and said we'd discuss everything when the blood work comes back. I am just going crazy!! All this waiting and all we want to do is TTC again. Oh! Yes I did try different HPT's ( I think the hubby's getting a little mad about buying so many tests!! LOL!) Thanks again!! :)
It sounds like you may have had a miscarriage, that is why your test were positive, then after the bleeding you hcg levels went down so you are having a negative result. Like the other ladies said, the only way to know for sure is through blood work. Best wishes!
I agree with what Nunu said. Also, have you tried different HPT's or are they all from the same batch?
I would think a definitive answer would be to get your HCG levels checked.
