ovualtion after d&c urgent response plz

Question

I had a d&c june 17th. I took a HPT june 27th and it said positive. I then took an ovulation kit test and it was positive. That week i was having all types of pain, i couldnt really tell if it was ovulation pain or my uterus shrinking back to normal size. I then took hpt july 3rd and it was negative, (i had protected sex, so getting preggo is not what im concerned about). My hcg levels were 29 on july 9th. Few questions, was the hpt positive because i still had hcg hormone in my system right? Can you ovulate with hcg still in your body? Can you get a period and still have hcg hormone in your body? Do i discard that opk test i took when it said positive? If it really was positive and that was june 27th should i expect to ovulate later this month, and why havent i got a cycle, i thought the body prepares your uterus for baby and after you ovulate and if you dont get preggo your body will make you have a cycle. Im all confused and frustrated. Can someone shed some light on the situation im going threw. I have been taking my temps and they are all over the place, you can check my ovulation tracker i have on here, and my cm has been mostly creamy this month and a few days of sticky. Does this make any sense cause as im reading this, im like wth, lol. Any advice please

ty ladies for your responses, the hpt is negative, monday i will no the results of my hcg levels, hope they went from 29 to zero.

Hi Latrice,

My GP said that you can ovulate even if you have not dropped you HCG levels back to zero. When last tested, my levels were 12 and this week before the opp i'm having a blood test to see if i have ovualted and some of my bleeding has been from AF rather than m/c or blood vessel.
I would think you got a positive HPT due to the level of your hormones from your m/c and you may have ovulated when the test said you did. You are probably late because after a m/c it takes a few cycles for your body to adjust and become regular again or on the other hand....you could be pregnant. If you can cope with doing another HPT to be sure, I think you should so you can get some perspective on your situation.

from what some of the other ladies on med help have said, if you get a pos preg test, a ovulation test will be positive too.  you should go to the doctors and have them check your levels to see if it is still leftover levels from the MC or if you are in deed pregnant again. good luck

Hi im sure you will still get positive HPT is your hormones haven't fully dropped. From what I gather from other posts your level of hormones need's to get back to zero before your cycle will resume.

I M/C on the 23rd june a week later HPT was negative, I did ovulate 14 days after M/C so fingers crossed for me as im due my A/F at any time if my cycle has gone back to normal, Hopefully I won't get A/F!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
