possible miscarriage?

i have just missed my period and have done four home pregnancy test which have all shown a positive result. 2 days ago during intercourse with my partner i started to bleed it was slightly heavy at first and has been stopping and coming since. on my first 2 pregnancy test that i took the day of my missed period, the second line was very faint- that was 4 days ago now. i went to the early pregnancy unit yesterday the morning after the bleeding and they done a pregnancy test that showed a negative result, but said to come back next week as i could be too early in my pregnancy to get a positive result. i took it upon myself to do another pregnancy test this morning and again it was a positive result, only this time the second line was alot more viable and darker in color. i have had slight cramping and the bleeding is only light to moderate and there is no passing of clots or tissue.. any ideas as to what this could be would be very helpful?????

the bleeding is a bright red color and i am still having cramping. i done another test this morning which the hospital had given me to take home and repeat myself that too also came up with a positive result but the hospital have said that it is still too early to see anything on a scan and to come back next week for a scan if i am still getting a positive results. i guess i will just have to wait and see as nothing can be done at this stage. thank you for your support.

sounds like a  threatened miscarriage its good that your hcg levels seem to be rising still (the darker positive) and since you haven't passed any tissue it probably means you'll go on to have a normal pregnancy but if your cramping gets painful or your bleeding turns bright red and gets heavier or you pass any tissue then you should go to the er because you could be having a complete miscarriage and you should be taking it easy while your still bleeding sitting with your feet up, no heavy lifting and no sex till your doctor oks it
