spotting at 7 weeks

hi all, at 7 weeks i started to have a brownish discharge that went to a pinkish spotting, i went to the dr's as i have had a number of miscarriages in the past, he referred me for a scan, at my scan the midwife said that there was a sac and fetal pole but she couldnt see a fetal heartbeat but also i was only measuring 5 weeks. she said that it measured 3mm and at this size she would expect to see a heart beat, got to go back into weeks but her opinion was that i would miscarry, but she could be wrong. i went thru this exactly 12 months ago but there was no fetal pole at all and it went on for over 2 months till i did eventually miscarry. the waiting is drives me insane. i only have occasional spotting now, i dont really feel pregnant but i cant really go on that cos i never felt pregnent with my other pregnancies, please has someone gone or going thru the same.

Your dates may b a little off.  I didn't see a hb with my second son till 7 w 3 d.  With my first son the dr was sure I would m/c because I was bleeding till 15 weeks but I carried him to term.  Good luck to u.

I understand.  I have had 2 m/cs myself.  Remember symptoms will come and go and it can be normal to have no symptoms.  With number 3 I had no symptoms till 8 or 9 weeks.  Try not to stress.  I know easier said than done!

You may have to go to a high rish specialist and have them put you on a blood thinner, that is what I had to do before I finally had my son whom is 2 yr old now. I went from dr to dr and all said it was just my bodies way of rejecting an abnormal fetus. My son was my sixth pregnancy and as you can see he was sucessful! The med I was on was lovenox (not sure if spelled correctly) but they are shots that I had to give myself twice a day. It apparently worked..Best wishes to You and yours!!

I didn't realise I was even pregnant, but whilst sat in the hairdressers this morning, I really didn't feel right, and when I went to the toilet afterwards, I had a lot of brown discharge & then I thought my period had started as I wasn't late, although have been trying for over 5 years, by the time I had gotten back to the car, I had heavy bleeding pouring down my legs, I got in the car & drove to the hospital as although my periods had been heavy before, they were nothing like this, I explained everything to the dr's, they sent me for an ultrasound & they confirmed that I'd most likely have had a miscarriage. This is my 5th miscarriage, have had all the tests done previously & nothing has been found to be wrong, just wish I didn't feel like such a failure :(
