what is going on?

Hi, I am 20 & recently married. We want children, so we havent been doing anything to prevent pregnacy. So 2 days before i was supposed to start, I was having period-like cramps, swollen breasts (up at least 1 cup size) and sore. No period came, and i am always one time, 24 day cycle. so the 6th day past due came and i started spotting. (my first day has always been heavy- so this is weird) then on the 2nd day, i was having horrible pains, cramps like never before, with extremely heavy bleeding and tona of clots. (i have never had this heavy of a period or this many clots) i was in alot of pain and bled thru every 2 hours. and twice i actually bled thru after 15 minutes. day 3 was just like day 2. now it is day 4, and im still cramping ( not as bad) and am bleading verry light. its brownish-light pink. (i have never bled this light before). Now my husband thinks i should go to the doctors and my mom says i should go to the ER. My breast are still swollen and sooo sore. and also, i havent been able to sleep. ive been waking up every hour with hot and cold flashes. please help???

You could take a pregnancy test now.  I would call the doctor if it is positive.
