A couple questions ; Throwing up ; but not sick

Ok, Im going to try and ask my questions in hopes that everyone can understand stand them......  Not good at typing them but, I will try.  So, here it goes.  Last week, I was having really bad burning senation in my chest I went to the Er they did a EKg which was adnornal and a stress test.  They, decided to keep me because of the EKg test being adnornal.   The next day they did a stress test.  The stress test was normal.  While the tech were looking at pic they come across some liver damage so, they basically called the doctor down from the floor and said look at her liver. He said oh its normal and walked out.  I left the hospital that day with no finding of my chest being on fire......   Please, note I did everything before going to the hospital...   Taking antiacids .... 6 of them.  Nothing helped....   This is something new for me. I have never experience this before.

Ok, so now I'm home been for about a week.  I've beening throwing up even the very little that I eat....  I could careless about eating.  I eat something because I know that I have too eat.  But, I'm still only eating bites and Dr says this is ok because I get full really quick.  But, anyway for the last 5 days I've been throwing up everything that I eat....    I was at a med/ rehab Dr today and told this to him and he said not my speciality.     I don't know what to do or suggest?  Any thoughts on this?   My husband is at wits end and says u don't eat as it is how can u be throwing up?  Could it be my liver causing this?

Ok, second question when I was at the doctor. Now, I need to say that he wasn't a neurologist but, a rehab Dr that's also into meds.   I said that he is almost sure I have ms.  He is going to write a letter to my old neurologist and request another brain mri with constrast.   Ok, I guess I'm ok with that I do have an allergy to the dye but, they will premedicate me before hand.    I said I have brisk reflexes which I don't understand what that means.  I try to look up information on here about it and did find quix post.  I read it but, confused.

Can someone explain alittle better if u don't mind?  Me and my husband was talking does this mean that they are normal?   I'm trying to also help him also understand but, its a chore in progress because I read a lot about thing and men don't........   Lol.........   Sorry u guys out there reading this I hope u don't take it the wrong way.......   Haha....   I should say most guys don't read into thing like woman do.

Any suggestions, opinion or advice....  Would be greatful ...

I'm going to call pcp tomorrow I'm just looking for any direction.  I don't want this to be dismissed.

I hope all is well will everyone.....  Thanks to all the respond.  I know u guys r busy answers question so I really hate to ask thing but, we r all here to support so I guess its ok.

Take care,
Misty..........  Stay positive everyone even when it feels like no one will listen believe me when I say they are...     I know everyone one here is going to have there answers in time........  Most important have faith and never give up.

Thanks so much for your reply.  I'm feeling a little bit better.  They did give me zofran when I went there which also seems to help.  Im hoping that this goes away and never comes back.  I'm praying for u and your son to get answers soon.  And, I know that god is watching over you and your family.

Thanks for all your support......  I'm doing nothing but, resting in bed today, no appointments....  Which I'm thankful for..

Hugs right back...  And thanks for them I need them right now.

Gosh, heartfelt77, I wish I had more answers for you.  I now that brisk reflexes are sometimes a sign of neuro problems or overactive neuro activity.  My son Jordan gets brisk reflexes (not a normal finding) and sometimes no reflexes at all (not normal either).  The neuro dr. says this is from nerve damage.  I check reflexes every day on patients because it gives us an idea if there is anything neuro going on.

A couple of weeks ago I posted about Jordan vomiting and he threw up off and on for a week (which he has done before) and then it was gone.  I just don't know.  Sometimes your gag reflex can become over active and just needs a medication like zofran or phenegrine to stop it from happening.  I sure would get a sono of my gall bladder also.  It sure can make people have a lot of nausea.  Is it any better when you eat low fat foods?  Higher protein, lower fat?

Bless your heart!  I will be thinking of you and sending you many hugs!

HI Misty,

It's nice to meet you. Welcome to our own little piece of the internet where you can share, ask questions, and receive support. No questions are too silly to ask and someone will try their best to help you out.

The above suggestions regarding your gallbadder are what I would do..get an ultrasound of your gallbladder. Since the gallbladder is situated just next to the liver, it could be what the tech saw but I would pursue that as well.

As for the reflexes, I'd like to refer you to the Health Pages located on the first page on the rignt hand side of the page. The majority of pages were written by Quix, a retired pediatrician who also has MS.The remaining are articles by fellow forum members.

The article regarding tendon reflexes can be found by clicking on the link below:

I hope you feel better soon!

Thanks, for your reply.  I went to med express today. They did an exray on me today which was good. They said everything looked normal.  I got the films which I'm taking to pcp to look at.  I'm to rest and eat blend foods which I've been doing.

Thanks again....

Take care

You need to call your pcp asap.  sounds very "gall bladderish" to me.  Whatever it is, it is not normal and needs to b checked into further, now.  either go to pcp today, or back to er.  you r probably dehydrated as well.

just my 2cents here...

good luck,

michelle

Yes, I would request it.  My sister went though this mess.  They ran test after test.  Her third trip to the ER a doctor said I know exactly what this is...Her answer was "You'll be the first and only.  This is my third trip here".  The ultrasound was done.  She was in surgery within the hour.  It was about to burst.  It had gotten so bad that stones were blocking the ducts to her liver...Bringing on yet another operation two days later.

She was one sick cookie.

No, they didn't do u think I should suggest that?   I'm tired of doctors but, if it can be an easy fix maybe it wouldn't be bad.  I would love my eating habits to go back to being normal. I don't understand why they changed so much.  But, I'm dealing with it.  It's this throwing up that really concerns me.

Thanks for your reply to my message.

Take care,
Misty

Ok, I read my post over again......  Haha...   And, I need to fix something the doctor today said that I have brisk reflexes?  And, he is sure that's its ms.  Not the first time I heard this so, nothing new.

I've try to research brisk reflexes but confused?   Is brisk reflexes normal?  From the way my doctor was talking its not normal?   Could someone put this to rest or confirm what it is?

Sorry for being a pain in the butt......   I had Aqua therapy today and so relax right now.

Take care,
Misty
