I should have also noted that a few unfortunate people have a reaction to this drug, somewhat like an allergic reaction, that gets worse over time. If I'm remembering right that reaction is more in the form of itching and skin rashes.
Good luck in sorting this out with your doctor.

Strange reaction. I had it happen maybe 2 times in the 8 months I've been on Copaxone and that was at the first few weeks I started taking it. Never happened again.
I hope you do what others have suggested and talk to your doctor about it.
Julie
Tick,
Please have a calm discussion about the side effects of copaxone with your doctors. Don't rely on the things you may read on line about copaoxne or any of the other drugs - we are finding so much is full of errors.
As Q said, copaxone does not cause heart failure. If you are going to have a post-injection reaction to copaxone, it will happen immediately and not 30 minutes later.
Every medicine in the world has potential side effects - you just have to weigh the possible bad problems against the good the drug might do.
Again, please talk to your doctor about this - perhaps an antianxiety drug would be useful.
be well,
Lulu
anxiety i have alot-- but this happens 2 times when was on maybe 4 3 months right after shot-- now it can b min. later and
will happen now it happens 2 much quix u think its just a reaction- nothing 2 worry about ?? dont want 2 stop all the other
meds have bad side effects- really dont want 2 consider them.
thanks tick
Could it be anxiety? Either about the shot or fearing a bad reaction?
First - in the 13 years taht thousands of people haqve used Copaxne, it has never been shown to cause heart failure. Don't worry about theat.
However, no one should have to suffer with a severe and uncomfortable effect from any med, even if it is not a serious effect. Tell your neurologist immediately and see if he thinks you are havbing some odd sort of allergicv reaction.
How many times has this happened to you after a shot?

Hi there.
It may be worth a call to your Neuro without a doubt!
If you look back a page or two you will find several discussions on Copaxone and that specific side affect.
Worth reading. I am sure you will find many, many answers on that particular thread.
In the meantime, I would certainly give your Neuro a call to let them know what is going on. Perhaps a referrral to a cardiologist would help to rule in or out anything that is actually Cardio in nature versus side affect from the Copaxone.
Take Care,
