1 gm IV solumedrol 5 days - has anyone still have side effects after 4 weeks?

Hi All - I had my first does of Solumedrol IV for 5 days.  My Neurologist diagnosed me with demyelinating disease of the CNO.  I have 2 lesions on my spine and 1 on my brain.  9 months ago I started to feel pain when I moved my eyes (in both eyes).  Went to Optometrist AND Ophthalmologist - I do not have Optical Neuritis.  It would come and go and would not be too bad.  These were sometimes associated with a headache.  The neurologist decided to give me 1g for 5 days of solumedrol to see if the pain would go away.  Mind you, I was NOT in pain at the time of the appointment.  On the 5th day of the treatment, I started to get eye pain again, and developed dry eye.  It has been 4 weeks and I still feel numbness and tingling on different parts of my body.  Is this normal? My eyes are more painful than ever.  Is this still from the Steroids?  or is it the disease progressing?  Should I have even gone on the steroids?  Completely lost and confused.
