I don't think you've popped a blood vessel, but maybe it's bursitis or something... Probably should go visit the PCP!
Hi Jess,
Well i was going to say i've blown a (the same one each time) vein in my hand a few times, exactly as you describe, near my middle finger webbing on my left hand, though i've assumed thats whats happened. Its the same hand that has the pinkie finger vein engorgement problem for the last year, and just recently the vein engorged in the finger next to my thumb so because of the vein engorgement, i really thought it had to be a blown vein.
I have mentioned it to my prior GP, saying i'd blown that vein again but no notice or correction to the term i've used. That doesn't mean much she was a dud of a dr, i'm going to bring it up again when i see the vein specialist on the 2nd of december, i'll probably get some answers then. That pain is a pain lol my entire arm has that pain when the veins engorge, i'm seriously over it already!
Cheers.........JJ
I rupture veins all the time - not fun! I think mine's hereditary. My grandma's ruptured frequently as well. Sometimes, it's just something stupid like opening a tight jar. I still can't get the darn thing open, and just hand it to DH.
