It has already been submitted that it can go up on the first page, but also be properly located in the Resource and Information Index. It should be up permanently in the next few days, I hope.

What is a good word for "triple-jazzed!"
This is easy to read, makes so much sense, and I'm so excited to learn and have this knowledge from Paindoc!
Can we use this for a Health Page? You know I'd be more than happy to copy it, pop it in, and post it. Please, just say the word. I think it would be more accessible there, than here, but I'm thrilled to have the primer here....
Thank you both so very much!

QUIX,
THANK YOU FOR THE TIME TO COMPOSE THIS, PLUS PLEASE THANK PAIN DOC,
THIS IS A VERY USEFUL TOOL FOR MANY OF US HERE AS SEVERAL HERE HAVE
EXPERIENCED PAIN, AND IN RETURN HAVE BEEN TOLD BY DEFECTIVE NEURO'S
THAT MS DOESN'T CAUSE PAIN.

Thanks so much! I'm just starting to experience this type of pain in my legs, and it's not as frightening now that I understand it.
I will also be able to explain it better.
Thanks again!

Thank you!
The above will help me explain to my loved ones what I am experiencing. Sometimes they don't understand and think I need urgent care, and this will help me describe better why I feel what I feel.
I also am echo-ing Ess's Q. Can OTC analgesics treat neuropathic pain? Do Neurontin and Lyrica treat normal pain? Information on how different meds affect different pains would be great to learn!
This is excellent. I know we all make ourselves nuts trying to figure out our own pain. Neuropathic pain is really hard to experience and understand.
Thanks to you and PainDoc.
Thanks so much for this thread! I had thought that the quality of the pain determined whether or not it is neuropathic, so am glad to get this straightened out. Then I thought maybe you could tell from the results, by what med works. If an OTC pain med works, the pain must be normal; if a med like Lyrica works, then it's neuropathic. It will be interesting to find our how right or wrong this is, or even how relevent.

Thank you so much for this fascinating article. I will not post on this thread about my dealings with doctors about the differences in where the pain is coming from, but will post on another thread later.
Thank you so much for getting this information together for us. There is a DIRE need on this Forum to help so many with this neuropathic pain. So many of us have been unable to find relief of any kind. I raise my hand!
Thanks again,
Heather
Thanks so much for posting this!! It makes understanding nerve pain so much easier.
I am looking forward to the next set of info on pain management.

This is VERY interesting and I think that it will help a lot of our members understand better what it is that is causing that unbearable pain all of us seem to have! I was supposed to go to a nerve pain symposium last Monday but unfortunately I missed it due to the infamous sunburn. I will be calling the dr. that held the symposium to find out if they are going to have another one in the future and of course I would share any further information that I could garner from it. Thanks again Quix for coming through again for those of us in pain.

Thanks, for this. I've never understood the pain I'm experiencing, but now I'm closer to undertanding it.
I wonder why doctors think that the burning pain is damage from diabetes--I've heard this before and I even wonder if it's my MS that's causing my pain in my feet. I don't have diabetes, but the biggest pain problems are in my feet and legs and it's usually a burning sensation. Sometimes, it feels like I'm walking on broken feet and it makes walking unbearable.
I'll be watching for some good reatment to manage nerve pain. I hate most of the pain medicines, especially Lyrica, that I've tried.
Thanks again, Quix and Paindoc38. I feel very fortunate that you're a part of this forum.
