So I am a little late in commenting lol but I my daughter, son in law and grandson came over and we watched movies and I cook dinner and made meat and cheese tray and cheeseball for snacking.
Brought the new year in with my mom, kids and dh with some nice sparkling apple cider lol. We had a real good time though.
Me, I was in bed at12:30 as soon as my daughter left, I was lucky to stay awake that long lol

I worked tonight so was traveling home when 12/31/10 slipped into 1/1/11. It was probably the best possible time to have to be on the road. Most drinkers stay put as midnight approaches so they don't miss the magic hour celebration. I had the car tucked safely into the garage before the party people hit the roads again.
I remember the New Year's Eve I was living in El Paso, Texas. Back then, after ringing in the Texas, USA Central Time Zone new year, you could easily (and safely) walk across the penney bridge into Juarez, Mexico and celebrate the event all over again in the Mountain Time Zone. These days I'm still so pooped from Christmas week activities, I can't even think about another holiday.
I'm off to bed now folks. See ya'll in 2011.

All my kids are working then going to spend the night at different friend's houses. DH and his sore head from his surgery is already in bed and I'm close behind him. Nothing exciting....guess that happens when you get old.
I hope others have a great celebration in their own special way.

Just came back from a delicious prime rib dinner - eaten early due to icy roads and snow still coming down. Love that cold! It's about 15° out (F). Pond frozen over - geese and mallards have taken off sheltering somewhere warmer. No birds in sight now. Bitter cold!
Would love to stay up and watch the TV festivities at Times Square, the bands, the crazy crowds, the festive build-up to the final apple dropping etc. But my party-pooper fatigue is gonna make me go to bed early (as usual).
I've been really tired. My latest symptoms are odd: Tongue getting stuck on some letters - like L's. They're like speed bumps to my speech. I get stuck trying to say them sometimes especially when attempting more than one L-word.
Also I've noticed I'm not blinking as often as usual. I don't even feel the need to blink much of the time. While working at computer today I timed myself: Went for 4 1/2 minutes today looking at a bright computer screen without blinking. Have to make myself blink more often. When closed, eyes feel like have cotton around them. I don't think that's an MS symptom, is it? When told about my blinking issue my ever-supportive son interjected: Hey, maybe I could participate in staring contests! I love his unique insights and humor.
May 2011 provide us with the answers we seek!

Well I am having my second muscle spasm of the diaphragm like I had in November. At least I am relaxed this time knowing it is MS and not a heart attack. It started with hiccups now squeezing. Hopefully it won't be as bad.
At least I had a good riding lesson today. I trotted the whole lesson and did not have to stop. Next week I get to go solo with out a lesson, ride with a group of riders and practice on my own. If all goes well I will be able to do that and ride more.
I wish everyone the best year ever.

well it's 11am new years day here already. I babysat my granddaughter overnight and now feel rather sleep deprived. Not to mention it's 37C (100?F) .
GOODNIGHT!
You can tell I'm starting my evening here - checking it one last time or two before we hit the road. We are going to long-time friends' house- which is about 3 minutes from home. We'll be home before midnight.
I'm driving my sister and her family to the Columbus airport tomorrow - they got snowed out from Newark earlier this week and are finally getting a Continental flight from there. That blizzard sure changed lots of plans for many people.
Happy new year to everyone here !!!
Taking my daughter and grandkids to dinner then dh and I are going home to watch a movie:) Happy New Year everyone!

I'm staying home tonight while my kids who are in town are going out. I am ok with that, actually I want them to have a good time since I can barely stay awake past 10:00 pm. So, since I'm not going to be doing any outings tongith, I thought I live vicariously through them and you all to see what fun stuff you have planned.
I hope everyone has a safe but fun New Year's Eve!!
Hugs and best wished all of you for 2011.
