I was diagnosed with MS in 2017 and now just diagnosed with Parkinson's, May 1, 2023. My dad had Parkinson's and my tremors are bad while at rest and now into my legs.
This post is three years old. I am not sure if Tealover is still around. Welcome to the forum. I am sorry you have both. There may be a PD forum but not both on Medhelp. I am on two forums myself. I would be interested in the differences in MS and PD. Sounds like you have a lot on your plate.

Hi Tea, I am 49 and have confirmed MS as of Nov 2014 (spinal lesion, positive spinal tap, 3 opinions in agreement). This year my neuro thinks she also sees PD and when she gave me Azilect it felt like a miracle, my brain is now working, I can move my neck. The MS diagnosis came by accident during an MRI for another purpose, no family history of MS so I was surprised -- but I have a strong family history of PD and MSA with parkinsonianism. I am wondering whether my strong response to Azilect could confirm the PD diagnosis? Have you found a forum for people who have both? Hope you are still reading this! There's a lot to sort out but I feel like the MS cramps that need Baclofen and locking up with PD feel different. No tremor yet...
I am so sorry for what your bro-in-law's mum is going through not to mention the family members too. Do you know how long she has been diagnosed with PD & MS? It seems so very rare to have both, that altho' I'm sorry she has all this (Alz. too), in a way it's nice to know I'm not the only one with both. Thank you for your post,

Hi, I've just read your post. My brother-in-law's mum has got both MS (secondary progressive) and PD and she has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimers too. I don't know her personally so I can't tell you how she gets on day to day but I do know the MS & PD diagnosis came pretty close together.
Thanks for forwarding this info -- since I do respond to the PD medications I have used so far - by that I mean it helps control/manage symptoms, it is assumed I do have the disease.
Hi TeaLover,
Not as clearly distinct individual diagnosis but yes to pwMS having parkinson plus syndrome though i dont think its very common, see below
