Brief Shadowsister update

DJ continues to be a guest of the hospital in Arcadia.  They removed the intrathecal morphine pump last week.  The spot where the lines went into her spine continue to leak spinal fluid, so they are going to do a blood patch on Monday.  Here's hoping it helps.

They have not yet found a  way to handle her pain that she gets from the extreme spasms she experiences, and she is relying on the oral morphine to take the edge off.

The movers come Monday morning for her household goods.  As soon as she is able to travel they will airlift her from CA to PA.  

DJ continues to be her upbeat self, constantly assuring me that she will beat this once again and she will be getting better.  She asked me tonight to let everyone know that she prays for all of you daily and misses being here. She wanted me to give her an update on everyone and truly wants to know how you are doing.

I wish I had better news to share- one of these days it will be!

Well, I believe that if DJ says she'll beat this, then she'll beat this.  She has such a strong will and it has gotten her this far.  Please let her know that the prayers she is sending our way are coming backto her 100-fold.  We love DJ and can't wait for her doctors to find a workable pain management treatment so she can move back East.

Thanks for keeping us all posted on Dear DJ we also hope this crisis she is in will finally start to get improve and put her in a much better state of health. As always give her our love from the other side of the pond and we will continue to pray for her speedy recovery.
