Can someone describe PN????PlEASE

I have pain, but it feels like I have a nerve pinched off in my ankle.   Most of the time normal movement does not hurt then other times the slightest movement shoots a pain that makes my whole leg give out.  If I rub around I can usually find a sore spot.  Is this PN or a pinched nerve?  Thanks for any imput.

I just did a quick look and a pinched nerve will generally do one of three things - feel numb, feel tingling or feel pain.  It sounds like a pinched nerve can show up as just about anything.  I checked at a place I like a lot - wrongdiagnosis -dot - com.  Sorry I had to spell it out - the autoocensor here will bleep it out if I spell it correctly.  You can figure it out, I'm sure!

Sorry yes.  I thought after I posted that I didn't make that clear.  But you got what I was asking.
Thanks

I forgot this, but would my foot burn and tingle and itch with a pinched nerve?

hi Lala,
It's hard to tell if it is peripheral neuropathy or pinched nerve or something else.  These types of pains that come and go occassionally are so hard to track down because ti never acts up when you are at the doctor's office.

Take care,
Lulu
