Can't catch a break!

Seems like all I do nowadays is complain.  Sorry about that, but I think the warranty ran out, and now I'm going from one repair to the other.

I had an appendectomy last Thursday, and I've been recovering from that since.  (When you have appendicitis and urinary incontinence, that's the WORST.)  Yesterday (a week after the surgery) I woke up with pinkeye.  Today my tongue started swelling on the right side.  I'm keeping track of it - if it restricts my breathing, I've got an epipen.

I was diagnosed with unexplained angioedema at one point - for some reason my mucous membranes will swell up out of all proportion when they're injured.  I don't remember biting my tongue - could the pinkeye be causing my tongue swelling?

Ah, the tongue swelling is finally going down.  I really have to wonder if maybe I bit my tongue or something.

I'm sorry you are sick Jense.

I've had my tongue swell up when one of those taste buds was irritated. Maybe the Pink eye is more viral than bacterial and your body is freaking out.

I think you need to call your doctor. Hang in there.

Maybe I should let the doc know - it doesn't seem to be itchy or painful in any way, and the saliva glands look normal on that side.  It's not getting any worse...  I guess that's a plus!

I told my coworkers maybe I needed to go back to bed for another week.  No rest for the wicked.

I don't think pinkeye has anything to do with it.  Since it is only on one side my guess is a swollen gland.

I guess it is true "when it rains it pours".  I am so sorry you are suffering with no break.  Sending a cyber hug.
