I take Nuvigil sparingly because it's expensive, and my insurance won't cover it. My own experience with it? It keeps me awake, but that's about it. I'm certainly no more alert or less fatigued. I also take 1000 mg of Acetyl L-Carnitine 2x/day. I get a little more energy taking it than when I don't take it. It's part of my morning and late afternoon routine, now.
Believe it or not, getting in a walk or swim or doing a little Yoga is energizing. I know, exercise is the last thing on many of our minds when we're fatigued, but it definitely helps! It doesn't have to be a killer workout, or anything, but just doing _something_ for 20 minutes is SO beneficial.
Good luck, and let us know how things go for you!

I saw my neurologist on Friday and he said NO WAY to the Ritalin. He perscribed the Nuvigil for me to try which I'm hoping helps me out. I put off taking it due to the high cost and thought the Ritalin would be so much cheaper. He said the Ritalin takes out the good things and is to addictive.
Hi sunshine,
Nice to "meet" you. Have you tried Nuvigil? Provigil with a twist. It might help if the Provigil has stopped being effective for you.
I am not sure about Ritalin. Someone on the forum may have more information to add to that topic.
Hope you find relief,
Ren
