Can MS cause bellybutton infection ?

I have developed a sore bellybutton.  Inside the bellybutton is dark and sometimes bleeds.  Around outside of bellybutton is extremely red with scabbing, occasional bleeding, and a few small hard lumpy areas

Hi and welcome,

The most common cause of bleeding, skin coloration changes, etc in and around the bellybutton is an infection, either bacteria or fungal.....this type of thing is not caused by or associated with neurological conditions like MS but infections can happen to anyone. If your GP hasn't seen it yet, i'd recommend you do so it can be treated.

Hope that helps......JJ
