Enough...I restarted Tysabri 2 months ago.  I have had almost a constant migraine since, now asthma flairing up, coughing, and I am getting hoarse.

The reason I stopped it, was I totally lost my voice.  my vocal chords were a mess. still having trouble w my voice.

I am going for 3 days infusion, starting tomorrow w my headache neuro. It is a 6 hour day :(

The good thing is I lost over 10 pounds from being nausea w this unending migraine.

I called MS neuro, told here I am DONE w Tysabri.  She was very kind, but I really am done w all this medical crap.

She wants me to see her in 2 months, which I already have an appt for.  I told her I appreciated her so much, but I

need a break from docs, meds, etc.

She said she understood, and hopes I will reconsider the upcoming appt.

I feel relieved, in lots of pain and simply worn out.

Thats it,

Thx for listening,  Michelle

I'll be thinking of you - hoping the snow stops, the fever drops and the appt on Monday gives you some relief.

hugs,

Thx all for ur comments.

Didnt make it for the 1st day of infusion.  Snow storm.  I will go M, Tu and Wed. 6 hours each day. heck, i dont even know what the iv will b filled with.

My cough is worsening, and now 101 fever :(  Hopefully if I cancel Monday, they will not kick me out of being their patient. (this is the 3 rd try...)

Michelleric, I am so sorry you are suffering so right now.  I don't blame you for wanting to throw the towel in.  You have been through so much.  I don't know too many that could go as far as you have considering the circumstances.

Give yourself the gift of time....time to heal....time to reflect...Then decide what your next step will be...Even if it takes six months or a year you can always go back.  Maybe your decision will be never.  Who could blame you?  Sometimes the cure/treatment is worse than the disease.

Hugs to you,
Sumana

Oh heck! You really are suffering and I wish I could do something to make this awful ride stop for you.

Big hugs, prayers for you to be well soon.

I'm still waiting to see your little plane do a loop-the-loop to signal you're all better.

Blessings
Alex

That is some statement, Michelle, and I know you aren't taking this lightly.  It would surely stink if you got back into the vocal cord problem and I don't blame you for wanting to stop Tysabri as well as the parade of doctors.

Don't cancel that appointment, though.  Keep it on the books in case you change your mind in a month or so.

Hope the migraine subsides with the therapy.
hugs,
L
