Diaper Rash in Your 20's ?

Okay...

So, I know what I have is certainly NOT a 'diaper rash', but I have searched high & low throughout Google looking for answers to this problem, a label or a name to which it has.. anything, I've even just been typing in my search, & looking through 'images' just to see something that might look similar.

The only thing, I think I can safely rely on as the source of (egging it on) so to speak, was a yeast infection.  I've had this rash appear once before (but that once upon a time - I was able to make it go away simply by keeping it clean), it only stays on the folds of my inner thighs.  So, but I have also heard of "chaffing" being caused from sexual activities, & wondered if maybe that was my problem - but I'm going to rely on my gut feeling with this one & say a big NO to that..  It has to be something else, it's always a rash, NEVER a blister, not even when it first appears.  The skin is just a little pink, irratated, on a scale of 1 to 10 on itchy(ness) ..  I'd give it a 3, and the skin seems to flake off at times, but the skin that does is very superficial.  Not like blistery peely off skin, if I was having that things would be a lot worse.  I've been tested yearly for STD's, regardless of the fact I've been with the same Partner for the past five years.  Still You never know, and I think it's safe to always make sure.  The test(s) always come back with perfect results, other than the occasional YI or UTI.

And also, if Anyone has any idea of what I might be going through, could You please lend some info on how to further treat this...  Directions, & categories of (rashes) are extremely generic - making it very hard to even possibly know what I might have, and what to start taking.  As for now, it's 2 showers a days, rub. alc., hydrogen peroxide, & Neosporin.  And occasionally what I like to call " breezin' " lol, You know  ..   Air time.   (sorry for TMI, but I wanted to be as specific as I could, in order to hopefully get a 'specific' reply).

I Honestly & Sincerely will appreciate Your time for reading this, even if I'm not lucky enough to get a response in return.

So glad I could be of some help!
I have been dealing with mine since I was 10.
Unfortunately mine gets really bad and itches severely!
So I cover my skin with the dandruff shampoo and let it sit!
It's just another Cyndi-ism that I have to deal with :). Summer is Way worse.
It doesn't tan either!
I am glad it's controlable!
Best wishes!!!

I Googled, Tinea Versicolor & looked at a bunch of images, up to the 8th page just to make sure I didn't see anything familiar..  which I didn't.  I still appreciate Your time, as much as anyone else who offered their help.

Surprisingly though, I think You may have led me to learn of what my Partner (of 5 yrs) may have ..  It just doesn't look as severe as the images You see on Google.  His look like pale(ish) pink little sun spots, & there's only a few on his upper chest & lower back.  They're smooth as the rest of His skin, & don't cause Him any discomfort whatsoever.  I have forced Him to go the Doctor two different times, wanting an explanation to what it was.  His Doctor reassured me that it wasn't in any way shape or form contagious, and since I've been with Him for years (& haven't seen it on me, I figure I should try to believe the Doc's opinion)  but I don't know...  They told Him to try the Nizoral shampoo, and apply it on the area in a thin layer, leaving it for up to 30 minutes, before rinsing off.  It makes it disappear, but it eventually always returns a month or two later.  We both have realized that it seems to be brought on by heavy sweating, like when He's out doing yardwork, exercising, etc.

So, Thank You for that, & I also Thank You for my Boyfriend, since He's not via Internet to do it Himself.

;)   I'll be checking into it more thouroughly.

Thank You all for Your help & advice, I have recently discovered this site ( I know, I'm a late bloomer when it comes to the Internet, ha)  but People are very Kind Hearted, Generous, & willing to help one another on MedHelp.  I am very glad I came across this site, and that EACH of You took time out of Your day to help me on my quest to feeling better !

Thank You Syndi,

Thank You Melissa,

&

Thank You Lulu !

( I'll be on my way to Earth Fare for the Redsman's Clay, & also hopefully I can pick up that anti-dandruff shampoo that's called Nizoral.  I'm not sure about Litrozone, but I will make sure to check it out also (w/ my GP +).  As long as each product doesn't contain any sulfur to their ingredients, then I won't go into an anaphylactic shock, & stop breathing lol.  I'll make sure to follow up on the research carefully though, and again I REALLY appreciate Everyone's help ! )

Google Tinea Versicolor.
I have this and at times it is VERY annoying! It is either
white or pink that can be scaley if you scratch it.
It is fungus that grows on everyones skin, but some people
it produces too much and we get a rash.
Wash with a dandruff shampoo with selinium sulfide and leave
it on 30 min.
Hope this helps!  I am actually going through a breakout
right now. Hot humid environments are the culprit.

Hi Marleigh,
You have posted your question in the Multiple Sclerosis forum.... do you have MS?

Fortunately rashes are not a common problem with MSers unless accessibility for hygeince is an issue.

good luck in getting and answer - sorry we couldn't be of help.
