Does anyone else experience this??

When i am walking and especially when I'm tired ,sometimes my leg gives way.....it feels like someone is behind me giving a tap behind my knee so that my knee gives way.

I have not fallen over yet but it happens without warning . This has happened on a rare occasion in the past but since the last relapse it seems to happen on a regular basis, most days. I am scared one day i'm going to go over as it gives me a fright and wakes me up!!! lol (usually i am in a fatigued daze lol)

Do others experience this???

I was diagnosed in 1996 & in the past 4 yrs.my left leg has went limp immediatley about 18 to 20 times within the past 4 years & I've fell down every time.I beleive it is due to extreme fatigue or muscle weakness on my left side.

Yep, it happens to me as well.  I'll just be walking along and the next thing I know I'm grabbing something to keep from falling on the floor.  For me it is always my left leg.

Yes, this happens to me too, on the left side. It doesn't happen often, only on occasion, but it really catches me by surprise. Haven't fallen over yet, but sure feel like I'm going to.

I get this often in my right knee.  It was a constant symptom for about three months.  I learned to walk differently on that leg so it wouldn't fold up.  It's gotten better, but it's not gone entirely.

yes, this type of thing happens to me once in awhile... usually my legs just want to go where they want to... my left leg mostly does it own things at times not always.

and it can buckle at times too.. if I use my legs too much they get weak very quickly and then the pain starts.. so I don't venture out to far or for too long

take care

I am shocked that no one has jumped in here.  I am sure this happens to quite a few of us.

I am sorry this fear wakes you up at night.  I wish I could tell you that you have nothing to worry about but I know when I try to over use my legs I feel the same way.

Actually one day I had to rescue my dog who broke his chain and was wrapped around a tree hanging off a hill (I know call for help next time).  I had to sort of hold myself on this hill using alot of leg strength.

When I came back up my right leg was spasming so uncontrollably I could not get into my car to drive back to my house for 10 min.  I am really scared this will happen again while I am driving one day.

The fear of what could happen can create a lot of stress though and unfortunatly I find that those things we focus on do tend to happen somehow.  So try to keep your mind off your leg problems as much as possible.

Wish you the best
