Drunken Sailor

ELT
So, I overdid the wine and beer, and irish coffee last night for my bday dinner, is that any reason to look like the town drunk today?  LOL

I used to have a problem with my left leg giving way under me, only to lock back up, in the opposite direction.  It sort of, or mostly, resolved itself.  It has now started in my right leg.  I start to take a step, it collapses, partway, and by the time I've put my  other foot on the ground, it's okay.

Bf was making dosey doe noises behind me in the grocers, I could have smacked him one, lol.

What is it with the leg collapsing and recovering?  I read on one site, something called knee lock?  But I can't find it now.  It was an ms site, anyways.

And why am I now having it in the other leg?

I had the same problem before I had to go back to the chair.  I had talked to my doctor about it and that's one of the reasons they did the MRI which found I had torn cartilage.  The surgery didn't help a bit and it later started in the other leg.

Do you have pain with it?  I have a lot of pain with mine, especially when it locks.  My doctor was going to send me to another orthopedic surgeon but then I had this flare and landed back in the chair.  He told me once I was back on my feet if it still bothered me he would get me an appointment.

The damage to my knees was due to falling several times with my knees bent the wrong way.  I hope this has not happened to you.  Anyway, this is why my knees lock up.

I'll be praying,
Carol

Well, apparently, I haven't yet got ms, only "possible".  And yes, a lot of stuff is delayed in me.  Mostly my brain, lol.

When I scratch my imaginary itchy lip, it sometimes takes a whole minute for me to realize I've scratched it WAY too hard.

What's with the time delay, I'd like to have warning when I'm putting something too hot in my mouth, for example lol

LOL!!!!!!!! ha/ha/ha. . .I needed that!!!!!!!

But really, sorry for the leg bit (dosey-doe, LOL).

Think it has to do w/the whole brain (damage) signal, nerve muscle reaction probs w/MS.

Hope it subsides for you.  You have any weakness warnings? Did it feel delayed, like you had to think to pull it along prior to it collapsing?
