Hi I am starting solumedrol tomorrow for the same thing, I thought I had an eye infection so wentvto my opthamologist who told me I had retrobulbar neuritis my vision was off and I was seeing colors dimmer than normal. And with my ms he said it was very common, we are starting the roids tomorrow to try and prevent it worsening..my eyeball pain is awful just like I was poked..

I've had eye pain twice,  Until you see the Dr.  you might try a cold compress-  I started with just cool wash cloth.  If you ice be careful how long you leave the ice on your eye.

Hope this helps some..

You must go see the Dr..

If the pain gets too intense I encourage you to go to emerg.  When I had ON I had to do this only 12 hour after onset because the pain was intolerable.  They started me on Solumedrol asap and within hours the pain was gone and within a couple of days the foggy vision resolved.

HI MARY,

YOU MIGHT HAVE OPTIC NEURITIS. HAVE YOU EVER HAD THAT BEFORE? I'VE HAD IT AND WHEN I HAD IT, I HAD PAIN WITH MY EYE MOVEMENTS.
ALSO, IF YOU HAVE LOSS OF VISION WITH IT, THEN IT MAY POINT TO THAT, TOO.

LIKE TONYA SAID, IF IT CONTINUES, YOU MAY NEED TO GET IT CHECKED OUT. IF IT'S BAD ENOUGH, THEY MAY HAVE TO GIVE YOU SOLUMEDROL (STEROID) FOR A FEW DAYS.

GOOD LUCK,
KELLY

Have you called your Neuro or went to the Opthomologist?
Sounds like you should probably have it checked out if you are not any better tomorrow morning.

Hope you get some relief through the night. I am on Steroid drops now (again) for the eye issues I have been having for the last two weeks. Along with 3 other drops for a total of 4!

Take Carem
