Edema

I have sufferef from edema, mainly in my legs for about the past 6 years. They really never determined the origin of it. I have low to normal blood pressure and do not eat a high sodium diet. I wear full length prescription compression stockings (Sexy!) and take a water pill.

Now that I have been Dx'ed with MS I am wondering if there is any correlation. Does anyone else have issues with edema.

Thanks for the discussion link I learned some thing new from Quix's post:

I have edema too, in my left leg, around the ankle.  I had a blood clot in my right leg in October.  I also have Reynaud's.  Weird, huh?  It makes me wonder if MS affects the vascular system.  They're thinking/theorizing that perhaps MS is the cause of CCSVI, rather than the other way around.

Interesting question.  I have had pretibial edema since 1988.   Pretibial myexedem (a complication of Graves Disease) was ruled out.
